How does it work?
- Purcgase a digital certificate (Verisign, godaddy).
- Purchase Payflow Pro.
- We install Payflow Pro API client software on your server. This establishes a Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) connection between your storefront application and VeriSign’s payment processing servers.
You’re open for business
- Your customer makes a purchase on your Web site.
- Your storefront passes the transaction data to the Payflow Pro client.
- The Payflow Pro client passes the information to VeriSign, and the Payflow payment processing cycle begins. VeriSign securely routes your customer’s information through a network of banks, processors and other financial institutions.Payment is processed.
- Once the transaction is approved, the approval information is sent to VeriSign.
- VeriSign sends you and your customer an email confirmation that the transaction was approved. The entire approval process takes on average less than three seconds.
- The Payflow Pro client sends an acknowledgement to VeriSign that you have received the approval information.
You get paid.
- Your acquiring bank credits your Internet Merchant Account.

What you will need to have get your PayFlow Pro Account:
- General Business Information such as your company's name, URL, address and key contacts.
- Banking Information such as your business bank provider, account number, address etc.
- Credit Card Information to activate your new VeriSign payment processing solution.
- Verisign verifies you as a business - this might take anywhere from a few hours to 48 hours.
Internet Merchant Account:
You will also need an Internet merchant account that will process VISA, MasterCard, Discover & American Express. Even though we can connect to virtually any of the many service providers available, we would highly recommend Verisign's preffered partner Merchant e-Solutions.
